This position will be located at
Lewis and Clark State Office Building at 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65101 .
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise four Environmental Program Assistant/Analysts, and one Administrative Support Assistant
Oversee operating permitting activity for minor domestic discharging facilities drafted and processed by the Minor Domestic Permits Unit, including assigning applications, reviewing drafted permits for consistency and accuracy, and ensuring implementation of federal and state laws and regulations applicable to wastewater permitting
Coordinate internal sections, programs, and regional offices of the department as well as external private, state, and federal agencies
Lead and coach your team in building their effectiveness and success for future growth in the department or other areas
Lead or assist the Operating Permit Section to improve permit processing efficiency and assist in the goal of backlog reduction

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 4–6 years of relevant experience (additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience)
Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred
Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
