The Opportunity Puig is seeking a strategic and technically skilled leader to drive data automation, analytics excellence, and cross‑functional collaboration across Sales Operations and Market Intelligence functions. This role will pilot locally built solutions, improve manual processes, and serve as a key liaison between regional teams and HQ.

This is a business‑technical hybrid role that bridges strategy and execution. It combines strong business acumen with technical expertise to automate processes, accelerate data‑driven decision‑making, and deliver scalable solutions. You will lead a growing team focused on delivering actionable insights, streamlining reporting, and advancing our Data & AI transformation. This is a high‑impact position with strong influence across commercial, marketing, and IT functions.

What you'll get to do

Lead and mentor a team of two data professionals: a Senior Data Analyst and a Data Analytics Strategist

Define and implement a regional data strategy aligned with global standards and local business needs

Foster a trusted environment for testing and implementing new solutions

Collaborate with global teams to ensure certified, accurate data and alignment with governance standards

Data Automation & Analytics:

Automate and streamline reporting to reduce manual work

Transition manual reporting processes to automated systems using Power BI and Python

Build and maintain dashboards and tools to support business decision‑making, including Power BI dashboards and SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) stories

Manage data sources within approved frameworks and validate security and compliance for all solutions

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all reporting channels

Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

Act as the primary liaison between local teams and HQ, advocating for regional needs and minimizing reliance on global systems (e.g., Spain‑based support)

Partner with Sales, Marketing, and IT to identify and prioritize data use cases

Provide data‑driven solutions to accelerate business performance across North America

Project Management & Technical Oversight:

Manage data & reporting requests and troubleshoot technical issues

Centralize and structure technical functions to improve scalability and efficiency

Lead cross‑functional projects with strong influence, even without direct technical control

AI & Future‑Focused Initiatives:

Support AI‑driven efforts for data cleaning, automation, and governance

Champion data literacy and upskilling across teams

Monitor KPIs and adoption of Data & AI initiatives within the region

We'd love to meet you if you have

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or related field

7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy roles

Proven leadership in data transformation and managing analytics talent

Expertise in Power BI, Python, and data visualization tools

Familiarity with SAP, NPD, PIM systems, and vendor data integration

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience in matrixed global environments is a plus

Compensation Data As required by New York State’s salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $170,000.00 - $180,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
