Leidos is seeking an experienced
Senior Endpoint Migration Engineer
to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, who will support DOD Agencies and Field Activities (DAFAs) as they migrate their endpoints to the modern DODNet environment. The Endpoint Migration Engineer will be responsible for working closely with DAFA system administrators and staff to help ensure that endpoint migrations to DODNet are thoroughly tested, documented, and provide a positive experience for DAFA users and their leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
Endpoint Migration Preparation and Testing
Work closely with the Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) team to ensure all applications and Intune policies are applied correctly and tested thoroughly on the DAFA network and representative endpoint devices.
Establish and execute comprehensive test plans that ensure the entire endpoint migration process is thoroughly exercised on the DAFAs networks using representative DAFA hardware.
Document the results of all tests, clearly identify any findings, and ensure findings are communicated with the UEM team for prompt resolution.
Continually exercise the endpoint migration process on representative endpoint devices as part of a phased testing cycle to ensure any issues are identified and escalated to the UEM team prior to migrating DAFA users.
Communicate with DAFA technical experts and stakeholders to collect feedback, identify areas of improvement, and ensure clear understanding of the endpoint migration process and expectations.
Support and Troubleshooting
Serve as the primary technical liaison between the DAFA users and the UEM team, ensuring issues identified by the DAFA are clearly communicated, documented and escalated to the UEM team for remediation.
Troubleshoot endpoint connectivity, software deployment, and patching issues across distributed environments.
Documentation and Training
Work with the UEM team to ensure documentation for the systems, applications, and endpoint migration process are up to date.
Facilitate information sessions for the DAFAs to help ensure consistent understanding of the endpoint migration process and establish realistic expectations for users.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience performing the activities described above; or Master’s degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience
Active DoD Secret clearance
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and administering Windows operating systems
Strong problem-solving skills and acute attention to detail
Experience migrating users and desktops to Microsoft Intune
Experience packaging applications using Microsoft Intune
Experience writing and troubleshooting PowerShell scripts
Experience working directly with customer and other stakeholders to interpret requirements / feedback and report status
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including customer service skills
Familiarity with the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence
Current IAT Level II (or higher) Certification such as Security+ or CISSP
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications, such as Endpoint Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified Intune Expert
