Thrive is a fast‑growing network of physical therapy clinics across the Midwest that partners with clinicians to provide business support services. This role will lead Thrive’s information systems strategy, driving data connectivity, automation, and security across a multi‑state, acquisition‑driven organization.
Job Responsibilities Systems Integration & Data Aggregation
Identify optimal methods to extract and automate data feeds into the Thrive data lake and Power BI environment, primarily via SQL databases or APIs.
Develop creative, repeatable solutions to normalize disparate data structures across partner systems.
Ensure ongoing data accuracy and integrity across all integrated sources.
Lead technical due diligence for new acquisitions by assessing EMR, PMS, and ancillary systems.
Automation & Reporting Leadership
Design and oversee automation of core operational and financial reporting to reduce reliance on third‑party vendors.
Serve as the escalation point for complex Power BI and SQL reporting initiatives.
Standardize reporting processes and documentation to mitigate operational and compliance risks.
Support the Revenue Cycle Management team with data visibility, workflow optimization, and technical troubleshooting.
IT Strategy & Security Oversight
Serve as Thrive’s Information Security Officer, fulfilling OCR/HHS requirements and leading HIPAA and ePHI risk mitigation efforts.
Conduct annual IT security risk assessments and maintain compliance documentation.
Advise leadership on system and platform consolidation initiatives, including EMR/PMS migrations.
Manage relationships with external IT vendors and ensure service delivery aligns with business needs.
Leadership & Collaboration
Partner with company executives and acquisition leadership to align technical integration plans with business objectives.
Communicate complex data and system concepts to non‑technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Show interest in future team leadership as the IT function expands.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years of experience in IT leadership, data architecture, or analytics—preferably within healthcare or multi‑entity organizations.
Strong SQL expertise and proven experience building automated data integrations.
Proficiency with Power BI and experience designing data pipelines and dashboards.
Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA, ePHI security, and healthcare system data structures (EMR/PMS).
Exceptional communication, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional leadership skills.
Local to Chicago.
