The Department offers one of the most established and largest Doctor of Physical Therapy programs in the country, along with Ph.D. and Master's programs in Human Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences, and a Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program. Artificial intelligence (AI) is integrated throughout programs at Northeastern, and our Master’s program features a dedicated AI concentration.**About the Opportunity**The primary appointment will be within the Department of Physical Therapy, Movement, and Rehabilitation Sciences in Bouve with a secondary appointment in another college that is in line with the candidate’s research expertise.Our tenure and promotion process values collaborative research and teamwork. Hires will be mentored for success, with mentoring teams and group guidance. In addition, a strong and effective faculty development strategy is part of the Northeastern institutional mission. The ADVANCE Office of Faculty Development office works in conjunction with the Office of Research Development (ORD), the Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning Through Research (CATLR), and University Decision Support (UDS) to provide programs and trainings to further develop and support a thriving faculty.**Resposibilities**Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting an independent and externally funded research program, and participating in departmental, college, and university service. Qualified candidates must be prepared to work with global student populations.**Qualifications*** PhD in kinesiology, movement/rehabilitation science, engineering, human computer interaction, human factors, or related field is required.* Established line of inquiry including AI and sensors/wearable devices.* Demonstrated experience writing and submitting grants commensurate with candidate’s rank.* Interdisciplinary, team research that engaged individuals from other discipline but is focused on health outcomes.* To be considered at the Associate level or higher at least 5 years of academic or equivalent experience and evidence of funding is required.**Additional Information**Interested candidates should apply here with a curriculum vita that includes a list of publications, research and teaching statements addressing the prompts below, and a list of at least three names of potential references letters.
