What You’ll Do You're a thinker, a builder, and a creative partner. As a Strategy Director at Trade School, you’ll help brands find their voice and make work that actually sticks with people. You’ll lead brand and communications strategy for some of our key clients—connecting sharp insights with bold creative ideas that take hold in culture and memory. This role is brand strategy first, but you’ll also flex your comms and content muscles—understanding how ideas should come to life in each channel and how creativity performs in the real world. You’ll collaborate with creative, media, and production teams to make sure strategy drives both creative impact and business results.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Lead brand strategy and positioning efforts across 1–2 clients and categories.
Define platforms and narratives that drive growth and inspire breakthrough creative.
Develop frameworks that connect brand strategy to campaign, content, and communications planning.
Author and present briefs that bridge insight, inspiration, and business goals.
Translate brand platforms into actionable content and channel strategies.
Build agency intelligence and thought leadership—internally and with clients.
Lead research and cultural insight development using data, trends, and behavioural signals.
Manage and mentor junior strategists, providing clear direction and room to grow.
Build trusted client relationships, lead presentations, and contribute to new business efforts.
What You Bring
6–10 years in brand, communications, or integrated strategy (agency experience preferred).
Trusted client partner who can guide senior conversations and new business pitches.
Proven ability to connect insights to creative ideas that deliver business impact.
Experience leading brand platform work and partnering with creative teams from briefing through execution.
Strong understanding of media channels and messaging frameworks, tailoring for various audiences and personalisation opportunities.
Confident presenter and storyteller with strong writing skills.
Hands‑on experience using or innovating with AI and emerging technologies in strategic work.
Collaborative, curious, and fluent in culture—always looking for what makes ideas last.
