Purpose of Your Work As a

Lead Data Scientist (Pricing)

working within Shared Services (one of our entities), you will be responsible for developing tech-forward solutions to drive automation and informed decision-making within our business. You will delve into unique and complex issues within the logistics space and partner with cross-functional teams across business, technology, and product to ideate, develop, recommend, and implement solutions. You will leverage your skill set in statistics, machine learning, and MLOps to build various models and infrastructure, delivering results and communicating actionable insights.

How You Make a Difference Every Day

Develop and implement pricing models and simulations that leverage statistics, data science, and machine learning technologies without our business that impact metrics, and streamline network operations.

Identify new opportunities to drive business impact through data exploration and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Conduct a root cause analysis to identify the key drivers influencing operational performance associated with our buying patterns

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, business stakeholders, and product teams, to gather inputs, assumptions, and understand business processes along the way.

You’ve Got This?

MS or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent work experience.

6+ years of experience applying Machine Learning and data science solutions to solve business problems.

Experience solving pricing problems in multi-sided marketplaces

Experience with Data Science and/or Machine Learning in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or a similar space is a plus.

Experience managing a small team of Data Scientist

Proficient in leveraging Azure or AWS to deploy scalable machine learning algorithms into production

Hands-on experience with open-source languages and tooling for large-scale ML (e.g., Ray, Flink, Feast).

Experience working with Data Warehouses and ETL pipelines (e.g., Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow).

Strong Python and SQL skills

Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders is a plus.

Work Schedule This position is full-time and remote, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an hour break. However, flexibility is available based on coverage needs.

Compensation Range Salary Range:

$170,000 - $220,000

This position is eligible to earn annual incentives based on individual and company performance.
