Job Description
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Cabin Program Director to join our Engineering department based in Mobile, AL. The role will lead multifunctional end‑to‑end activities onsite at supplier premises to support work package development and industrialization, ensuring on‑time and on‑quality delivery to Airbus sites.
As a key element of the new cabin program organization, you will strengthen end‑to‑end management of cabin developments and work closely with suppliers and internal Airbus functions to drive manufacturing readiness and program progress.
Responsibilities
Lead new product introduction (NPI) work packages originating from new development or customization, transfers of cabin work packages (buy‑buy & buy‑make) or in‑service issues across suppliers.
Work closely with suppliers, holding regular industrial review meetings and APQP business results review meetings to supervise and drive progress and maturity of the manufacturing readiness level (MRL).
Ensure efficient collaboration among suppliers and Airbus functions along agreed landmarks and results, implementing and operating a multi‑functional local IPT governance.
Promote and enable involved Airbus functions at the executive level, providing continuous and accurate visibility and communication to all Airbus internal partners up to senior management level.
Anticipate risks and issues likely to impact program parameters and proactively ensure they are addressed, communicated and elevated when needed.
Demonstrate proactive program management with frequent on‑site interaction and assessment of the supply base, including multi‑tier suppliers.
Resolve supplier communication and implementation issues, ensuring that Airbus requirements are understood, implemented and any gaps are corrected.
Support the development of supplier teams, ensuring deployment of Processes, Methods and Tools (PMT) within the Airbus project development environment.

Analyze supplier interests to ensure alignment with Airbus short‑, mid‑ and long‑term goals, identifying cross‑program risks and opportunities.
Provide day‑to‑day extension of central program teams, PDTs and functions, supporting maturity reviews, program reviews and industrial reviews with suppliers.
Qualifications
Master’s/Graduate degree in engineering, quality or program management or equivalent education and experience.
At least 7 years of aviation industry experience in project management, design and production.
Experience with cabin development processes and testing.
Strong communication skills, ability to handle disagreements across functions and achieve agreement on a forward path.
Ability to coordinate and influence without direct managerial authority, using interpersonal and technical expertise within a matrix organization.
Fluency in written and spoken English; French, German or Spanish skills preferred.
Experience with aircraft systems, structure or cabin development and testing.
Must be able to work in the US without the need for sponsorship/work authorization.
Availability to travel up to 80% of the time.
