About the Job Software Engineering Managers at Google lead technical projects and manage teams of Engineers across locations, ensuring high-scale, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure. As a manager, you will define team priorities, drive product strategy, and help develop your engineers in areas such as information retrieval, AI, natural language processing, distributed computing, large‑scale system design, networking, security, and more.
The team builds the technology that keeps Google Cloud and its production environments, along with customer data, secure from various attacks by ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability anchored in trustworthy hardware.
US base salary range for this full‑time position: $197,000–$291,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation details reflect the base salary only; bonuses, equity, and benefits are additional. Salary may vary based on location and other factors.
Responsibilities
Lead the Platform Attestation Team in the Cloud Infrastructure Security organization, defining team priorities and aligning strategy, processes, and decision‑making across the organization.
Set expectations with people based on their level and role, aligning with company goals; meet regularly to discuss performance, development, and provide feedback and coaching.
Develop the technical goal and roadmap for the team; evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
Align with partner teams on technical directions and system designs.
