is seeking an
Linux System Administrator
to join a stable and well known team located at
Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Responsibilities of the Linux System Administrator:
Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists. May administer network security measures.
Qualifications of the Linux System Administrator:
4+ of relevant technical experience is required. Intermediate-to-advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related field is required. A combination of experience and education may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Compensation of the Linux System Administrator:
Salary range: $85,000-$130,000 Comprehensive benefits package: Cigna Medical, Cigna Dental, Vision, 401k w/ ADP, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, paid holidays
