SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Director of Investor Relations will support and advance the Greater Des Moines Partnership's Investor engagement and retention work, including securing new Investors. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective Investors, ensuring positive experiences and active engagement of Investors, oversee accurate and timely data management, and leading and supporting Investor events. contributing to revenue growth. The role requires exceptional relationship management skills, strategic sales skills, professionalism, strategic thinking, organizational skills and attention to details.
5 Major Functions
Secure and Onboard New Investors Drive Investor Engagement and Retention Lead Prospective Investor Recruitment and Outreach Spearhead Investor Experience and Event Support Oversee Investor Reporting and Data
Specific Responsibilities
Work closely with the President & CEO and Chief Communications and Engagement Officer (CCEO) on Investor and prospective Investor outreach strategies and relationship management. Serve as a key contact for current Investors to support ongoing engagement, retention and satisfaction, main contact for prospective Investors. Develop and manage engagement plans for Investors including scheduled touchpoints, follow-up communications, events, surveys and strategic mapping of Investor engagement and involvement. Lead new Investor prospecting through research, relationship tracking and targeted outreach. Make calls and conduct outreach to Investors to support retention and growth efforts. Support the successful planning and execution of The Partnership’s 5-year Investor Campaign. Oversee CRM records for Investors and prospective Investors; ensure timely and accurate data entry and reporting for a complete view of each Investor’s involvement. Help coordinate and execute events and experiences for Investors and prospects, including events such as The Partnership's Annual Dinner, Meet the CEO, Inside the Board Room, and other exclusive Investor-only events and opportunities. Manage scheduling and logistics for meetings with Investors, prospective Investors, including helping prepare other team members for meetings with Investors and prospects. Oversee creation of Investor letters to be sent with commitment invoices. Review annual, semi-annual or quarterly commitment invoices. Coordinate with the Finance team to monitor Investor invoice status and payments. Lead staff support of DSM Executive Stewardship Council activities such as events and meetings, thank-you notes, impact reports and follow-up communications. Contribute to the development and maintenance of Investor marketing materials. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between Investor needs and organizational priorities. Other duties as assigned.

Excellent sales and relationship management. Ability to see pathways to grow and support multi-sector relationships. Simultaneously manage several tasks, prioritize and solve problems proactively and on short notice. Excellent human relations skills and good understanding of group dynamics. Strong overall organizational and Investor relations abilities. Strong written and oral communications. Proficient in office technology. Highly self-motivated. Team player with “we over me” approach.
Education And Experience
BA or BS in Communications, Business or Related. Minimum 5+ years of related experience.
