Municipalities nationwide are utilizing FORWARD to streamline the design, implementation, operations, communications, reporting, and compliance functions of their economic and community development assistance programs. Position Summary As the Director of Business Development, you will lead our business development team, responsible for driving success. You will identify new market segments, develop go-to-market strategies, oversee their execution, and mentor a high-performing team, setting and supporting aggressive sales goals. Responsibilities Lead the business development team, providing guidance to achieve sales goals. Identify and assess new market segments for growth, developing targeted strategies. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products aligned with company objectives. Plan and manage GTM experiments to validate assumptions and optimize market entry. Establish strategic partnerships and alliances to build co-selling opportunities. Hire, train, and supervise a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Set and track sales goals, providing coaching to help team members meet targets. Collaborate with the team, providing insights and strategies for targeting customer segments. Use customer data, market trends, and analytics to inform strategies and experiments. Monitor industry trends, competition, and regulations to identify opportunities and risks. Minimum Qualifications 10-15 years of proven experience in business development, strategic planning, or related roles, preferably in B2G or Non-Profit sectors. Strong knowledge of the B2G market, including government procurement processes and regulations. Success in developing and executing revenue-generating go-to-market strategies. Excellent analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership and team management skills. Strategic thinking and critical decision-making abilities. Familiarity with emerging B2G technologies and trends.
