Description We are seeking a hands‑on and detail‑oriented Warehouse and Data Center Technician to join our field operations team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient teardown, removal, and sorting of telecom equipment from decommissioned sites such as data centers, cell towers, and central offices. The position requires travel to job sites across multiple regions. Pay range: $18–$21 per hour.

Essential Functions

Decommission and disassemble telecom systems and infrastructure at client locations ensuring quality standards are maintained.

Remove, sort, and palletize telecom and network equipment for reuse, recycling, or disposal.

Label, inventory, and document removed materials following established protocols.

Use hand tools and power tools to perform dismantling and equipment removal.

Handle sensitive or hazardous materials in accordance with safety guidelines.

Load and transport equipment and materials to designated facilities to meet customer delivery requirements.

Maintain accurate project records and submit required field documentation and photos.

Work closely with project personnel and site contacts to ensure timelines and expectations are met.

Follow all safety procedures and site‑specific policies while on location.

Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of assigned tools, vehicles, and equipment.

Truck loads following safety standards and local regulations.

Attend safety meetings and uphold safety regulations.

Collaborate on continuous improvement projects related to operational efficiency, safety, and management systems.

Track, record, and report work/goals progress.

Required Skills & Abilities

Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory records and storage areas effectively.

Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to achieve inventory goals.

Knowledge of shipping/receiving processes and best practices.

Solid understanding of telecommunication electronic components and peripheral hardware.

Willingness to work hard and stay motivated.

Excellent attendance record.

Attention to detail and time management skills.

Proven experience in electronics disassembly, sorting, or recycling processes, preferably with telecommunications electronics.

Familiarity with relevant tools and equipment used in electronics disassembly and sorting.

Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices related to electronics recycling.

Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Commitment to workplace safety and environmental sustainability.

Basic understanding of clerical procedures and record‑keeping.

Ability to operate general office equipment such as computers, calculators, scanners, and copiers.

Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.

Capability to use hand tools and power tools.

Capability to work in a variety of roles.

Ability to use PPE, lift and move heavy objects safely, and work in physically demanding conditions.

Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Experience using lift trucks and hand trucks.

Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.

1+ year of experience in telecom, electronics, or equipment decommissioning (preferred).

Comfortable working in indoor FCC‑regulated environments.

Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding settings.

Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with telecom/network equipment.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Must pass a background check based on R2 standards for handling sensitive data.

Experience using hand tools, power tools, lift trucks, and hand trucks required.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds at a time.

Must be able, on occasion, to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds at a time.

Must be able to perform physically demanding work.

Good hand‑eye coordination and sense of balance.

Must be able to perform activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping.

Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.

Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.

Must be able to work on components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.

Must be able to visually inspect equipment.

Must be able to wear protective equipment for eyes, ears, and feet.

Ability to maintain single‑task focus and situational awareness.

Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.

On occasion, may work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold.

Ability to use PPE efficiently as required by the project environment.

Regular travel required (up to 75%), including overnight and out‑of‑state assignments.

Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical job site environments.

Flexible hours, including overtime during evenings and weekends, depending on project needs.

Exposure to FCC‑regulated environments daily.
