We’re seeking a Master’s level Unlicensed Therapist (MA with Candidate Permit – SWC/LSW, LPCC, or MFT-C), Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT), or Unlicensed/Licensed Psychologist to join our Forensic Outpatient Team. The team provides co‑occurring treatment for behavioral health and/or substance use disorders to clients involved in the criminal justice system, including those found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) who are reintegrating into the community.
Responsibilities
Facilitate recovery and optimal quality of life by providing clinical services, case management, and education.
Conduct diagnostic assessments and deliver individual, family, and/or group therapy.
Develop, monitor, and update treatment plans at required intervals.
Consult internally and with external professionals to coordinate care and ensure access to services.
Provide crisis intervention when appropriate.
Guide clients in coping skills and help them set and evaluate goals.
Offer consultation to community partners and providers.
Ensure billing information is accurate and obtain insurance authorization as needed.
Write reports, correspondences, and maintain required documentation.
Support credentialing activities with third‑party payers.
Coordinate care in partnership with the client care team.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in a human services field (for Licensed Therapist) or a doctoral degree in psychology (for Licensed Psychologist).
At least two years of clinical experience in individual, family, and/or group therapy.
Professional licensure as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PSYD), or an equivalent out‑of‑state license with intent to transfer to Colorado.
Colorado licensure obtained within 30 days of hire if holding an out‑of‑state license.
Knowledge of evidence‑based clinical practices, DSM‑V, and multidisciplinary treatment modalities.
Proficiency in an electronic health record system.
Ability to manage crisis situations and document all interactions.
Schedule and Work Arrangements Options include a 5‑day, 8‑hour per day week (Mon‑Fri, 8:00 am–5:00 pm) or a 4‑day, 10‑hour per day week (Tue‑Fri, 8:00 am–6:30 pm). A hybrid model allows a mix of remote and in‑office work with an expectation of being in the office four days per week and working from home one day. The schedule may be adjusted based on training, departmental, client, or community needs.
Salary Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full‑time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Hours fewer than 40 will be prorated.
Unlicensed Therapist: $58,480.92 – $80,026.62 per year.
Licensed Therapist: $66,512.16 – $91,016.64 per year.
Unlicensed Psychologist: $70,010 – $83,473.46 per year.
Licensed Psychologist: $99,493.68 – $118,627.08 per year.
Bilingual Language Differential Pay
Employees receive scheduled earnings bi‑weekly, equal to 5% of their regular base rate, with a maximum of $3,000.00 per calendar year. The maximum is prorated based on FTE.
Required Vaccination and TB Test All employees must receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test before their first day of work. Proof of both must be provided on the first day. Medical and religious exemptions can be requested if necessary.
