Role Summary (OMS) This role serves as the liaison between the Operations and Maintenance departments to ensure that all work requests for maintenance and operational resources are reviewed for impact and justification prior to approval. This role ensures that all work, including HSSE, regulatory, quality, and reliability work, adds value and is prioritised in the most cost‑effective way. Additionally, this role creates and maintains material master data and provides regional governance over procurement master data as part of the corporate Master Data Group. The Warehouse Manager integrates data from Engineering, Plant Maintenance, and Materials Management to compile and maintain accurate, consistent, robust, and timely data, thereby reducing equipment downtime and improving production.
OMS Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Ensure optimal use of maintenance resources and act as a liaison between Operations and Maintenance to prioritise and schedule work orders.
Initiate necessary work orders to ensure the safe and timely completion of critical jobs.
Communicate operational equipment scheduling needs to maintenance supervisors and schedulers, negotiating necessary schedule changes.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of work orders and assign appropriate priorities.
Review and provide direction for changes in start dates based on daily operational needs.
Continuously review notifications and work order backlogs to maintain regulatory and safety requirements, and preserve unit reliability.
Enter all necessary reliability data and participate in Engineering and Maintenance backlog reviews.
Develop and adhere to maintenance schedules by maintaining a prioritized list of jobs and reviewing preliminary schedules against budget constraints.
Act as a liaison between operations and maintenance groups to address scheduling problems.
Provide schedule information to management for equipment preparation needs and regularly review spending versus the maintenance budget to reduce overtime and meet site targets.
Identify and implement reliability‑driven improvements, audit maintenance jobs, and improve permitting, equipment preparation, or job preparation.
Other duties as assigned.
Warehouse Manager Responsibilities
Transact all aspects of materials management and inventory control.
Supervise warehouse personnel and maintain accurate and complete material master data.
Communicate effectively with all levels of management, maintenance, and turnaround teams.
Coordinate material master creation and updates, ensuring adherence to defined standards and high data accuracy.
Provide direction in developing controls, processes, and procedures for effective maintenance of material master data.
Engage Project Management, Engineering, and Plant Maintenance representatives early for all requested master data creation and maintenance.
Gather data and review recommended inventory stocking levels to maintain optimal levels for safe and effective operation.
Populate key performance indicators and statistics for master data creations, extensions, changes, and deletions.
Work in various settings from office to warehouse to field installations in all weather conditions as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education: High School Diploma.
Minimum five (5) plus years of plant/refinery operations experience.
Specific refinery experience preferred but not required.
Demonstrated technical understanding of plant processes and unit operations.
5+ years of experience in a Materials Management or Master Data related role.
3+ years of supervisory skills.
Leadership skills.
Knowledge of material management practices (inventory control, kitting, and staging).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong written and verbal communication in English.
Extensive user level knowledge of JD Edwards or other CMS software.
Demonstrated knowledge of BOM creation practices.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team structure to achieve objectives and deliverables.
Strong multitasking ability to handle multiple priorities and short timelines.
Excellent prioritisation skills and ability to seek help when needed.
Conflict resolution skills with diplomatic approach.
Detail‑oriented to ensure correct processing of information.
Ability to write requisitions to maintain warehouse stock.
Ability to build and maintain warehouse budget.
Ability to operate forklifts as needed.
Travel Requirements
10% travel.
