Anesthesia Service Coordinator – CommonSpirit Health
Job Summary Join our team of professional and passionate healthcare professionals committed to patient well‑being. The Anesthesia Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of logistics and operational resources for the Anesthesiology Department and providing operational support to the Director of Maternal Child Services for equipment and systems for all other maternity departments. The role includes determining priorities for work, contacting vendors for price quotes, scheduling in‑services, orienting new anesthesiologists, signing off competencies for new staff, assisting physicians and staff in clinical situations, maintaining and adjusting supply inventory par levels, and problem‑solving for staff and physicians to establish new resource systems.
Responsibilities • Coordinate logistics and operational resources for the Anesthesiology Department.
• Support the Director of Maternal Child Services with equipment and systems across maternity departments.
• Determine work priorities, contact vendors for price quotes, and schedule in‑services.
• Orient new anesthesiologists, sign off competencies for new staff members.
• Assist physicians and staff in clinical situations and maintain supply inventory par levels.
• Problem solve and implement new resource systems for staff and physicians.
Requirements
Minimum of two years in a surgical clinical role, preferably as a scrub tech or anesthesia tech in a large acute‑care facility.
Special training in supply chain management, customer service and systems analysis.
Certified Anesthesia Technologist Certification (ASATT) within 12 months of hire.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze systems and modify them for efficiency.
Mechanical ability.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to problem‑solve complex clinical equipment scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s Degree (highly recommended).
Scrub Tech certification preferred.
Location St. Joseph's Medical Center, a member of Dignity Health, is located in Stockton, California. The 395‑bed, not‑for‑profit regional hospital has a physician staff of over 400 and specializes in cardiovascular, cancer, and women & children services.
Compensation $42.80 – $48.48 per hour. $1,500 Sign‑On Bonus offered for qualified new hires (current employees are not eligible).
