Responsible and accountable for the project plans, schedules and ensuring that crew members under your direction perform daily and weekly activities to meet production goals safely. You must understand and accept the importance and liability of the role. Essential Functions
Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications Ability to direct a crew in a safe and efficient manner Complete the Daily Project Report each day and email to Administration and PM Identify and locate any underground or overhead utilities before the start of construction Accurately take-off materials and order them Maintain all equipment, trucks, etc. on-site Coordinate site activities with the Project Manager Delegate tasks to crew on-site Ensure fuel, grease, etc. are on-site for equipment, trucks, etc. Accuracy of grade and project layout Verify that the project follows plans and specs Ensure all crew members on-site work to their full potential Maintain safety and security of job site and crew members Daily and monthly inventory of tools and equipment Accuracy of crew's time (Heavy Jobs) Accuracy of material tickets and ensure these get turned into the office Secure the project at the end of each working day Report approvals, changes, etc. to the PM. Any changes to the original plans/specs/agreement must be documented by email, letter, and/or change order before work can begin. Report all incidents/injuries/complaints, major or minor, to Equipment Manager and Human Resources. Maintain a daily list of tasks and goals for the following day; planning and preparation are important. Requirements
Physical Requirements
Requires the mobility to perform vehicle operating duties. The Site Foreman has a physically strenuous and demanding job. You will lift, pull, and manage heavy equipment and objects. You will work in all weather, preparing for extreme heat and cold. Special Position Requirements
