Weyerhaeuser is searching for a Night Shift Maintenance Lead to join our Maintenance team at Evergreen EWP Plant located in Castleberry, AL. This facility's primary products are TJI Joists and Microlam Laminated Veneer Lumber for beam and header applications. We are seeking individuals who have skilled mechanical experience and who have a thorough comprehensive knowledge of mechanical equipment, processes and techniques to safely repair, modify, install and maintain the facility and high-tech lumber manufacturing equipment. The Maintenance Lead works with maintenance leadership to ensure excellence in achieving safety, quality and uptime goals. This individual must be committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, great communication skills, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility.
Work schedule will typically be 4 nights per week, at 10-12 hours each; however, incumbent must be willing and able to work day and night shift, weekends and holidays as department operating conditions require.
Pay range, depending on experience level: $31.90 - $35.30 per hr.
Key Functions

Responsible for supporting maintenance leadership to provide leadership and oversight of hourly millwright and electricians in a unionized veneer / plywood manufacturing facility.
Provide coverage for maintenance supervisors during vacations and other absences.
Ensure the safe and efficient execution of work by teams.
Machinery lubrication
Repairing & troubleshooting mechanical power transmissions
Bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installations
Repair and troubleshooting of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Metal fabrication and basic principles of cylinder repair
Some troubleshooting and exposure to industrial electricity issues
Ensure job and safety rules are understood and followed by all associates.
Role model safe work practices.
Participate in incident investigations and follow-up activities.
Actively involved in assigning work and evaluating job performance.
Support, coach, and provide timely feedback and directions to associates
Understand the process flow and provide solutions to issues.
Own and/or contribute to other mill functions, such as safety, environmental, or LEAN initiatives.
Participate in and/or lead unit initiatives and other assignments as required.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED is required
Stable employment history with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in Industrial Mechanical work
A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations
Good planning, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Machinery lubrication
Ability to repair and troubleshoot mechanical power transmissions
Previous experience with bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installations
Ability to repair and troubleshoot issues with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Past experience with metal fabrication and basic principles of cylinder repair
Good working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues
Commitment to follow all unit electrical / maintenance practices
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other windows based programs.
Good judgment and decision-making skills.
Must be willing to work designated night shift hours.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures and be ambulatory for the majority of an assigned 12-hour shift.
Ability to learn and comprehend mechanical aspects of the manufacturing process.

Preferred Qualifications
Vocational or technical school certificate in related area
One to two years previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Past employment experience in a manufacturing environment

Air compressor maintenance experience
Ability to comprehend blueprint
