- Oversees the company's ISO and Quality Management Programs, including supplier quality and certification, material and product traceability, internal audits, process control, corrective actions, and document control.
- Designs, implements, and manages Quality training initiatives for all employees.
- Prepares and delivers Quality Objectives to management, employees, and suppliers.
- Plans and executes analysis, inspection, design review, testing, and integration activities to ensure product and component quality.
- Reviews design documentation to verify compliance with quality requirements, including vendor manuals and company records.
- Utilizes Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to analyze data, assess current processes, and evaluate process improvements.
- Evaluates purchased materials and components, providing input on acceptance and vendor qualification for future procurement.
- Communicates key quality issues and developments to management, recommending and implementing process improvements.
- Establishes standards, methods, and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation of products and materials.
- Develops and implements procedures for the disposition of nonconforming materials, including cost and responsibility assessment.
- Supervises personnel involved in measuring, testing, and recording data related to material, product, or process quality and reliability.
- Prepares computerized status reports on inspection activities, nonconformances, and other quality-related matters.
- Creates training materials and leads sessions focused on quality control processes and continuous improvement.
- Ensures all Quality team members adhere to established safety procedures and work practices.
- Manages hiring, training, performance evaluation, and scheduling of production staff.
- Maintains all areas and equipment in accordance with 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) standards.
- Bachelor's degree is required for this position
- 5 or more years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong ISO 9001:2015 experience, including maintenance and implementation
- Extensive knowledge of quality practices and procedures including metrics and statistical analysis
- Ability to direct and lead quality team and others safely and efficiently.
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
- Ability to read and interpret field documents, shop drawings and blueprints
- Ability to use various measuring tools including caliper, tape, micrometer, CMM
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and the ability to follow safe work practices
- Six Sigma Belt Experience
- Salary up to $145k depending on experience
