Employment: Part‑time; work schedule varies; months of employment as needed
Salary Range: $1,572.67 – $1,725.85 per lecture unit rate; $1,572.67 – $1,725.85 per lab parity unit rate; $1,258.16 – $1,380.60 per lab unit rate (per current adjunct salary schedule)
Job Description
Cypress College is creating a pool of qualified ASL instructors to fill part‑time assignments on an as‑needed basis. When a need arises, the department will reference this pool.
Special Requirements
All degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript with award date posted.
Grade cards are not acceptable.
All degrees and coursework must be from accredited postsecondary institutions.
Evaluation of foreign degrees is required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience related to teaching in the assignment.
OR Associate degree AND six years of professional experience related to teaching.
OR valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college for the subject area.

Desirable Qualifications
Recent lower‑division or community college teaching experience.

Experience teaching or mentoring historically and socially minoritized/marginalized communities, including African‑American/Black, Chicanx/Latinx, Pacific Islander, Native American, women, LGBTQIA+, and people with disabilities.
