About the Role
As a
Program Director , you’ll lead our KIPP DC before & after school and summer camp programs — creating safe, enriching experiences for youth and supporting a team of 15–20 staff members. Your leadership will help ensure every child is supported and every family feels welcome. What You’ll Do Oversee day-to-day operations of youth programs at your site Lead, coach, and support youth development staff Build engaging, high-quality programming that supports kids’ growth and well-being Ensure compliance with licensing and safety standards Support special events, partnerships, and community outreach What You Bring 3+ years’ experience in youth development, education, or recreation Proven ability to lead and implement successful programs for elementary and middle school age children Bachelor’s degree or 15+ semester hours in child development Strong leadership and communication skills Budgeting and DC OSSE licensing experience a plus What We Offer Retirement plan with 10% employer contribution (plus additional 403(b) and Roth options) YMCA Membership for you and your family Generous time off benefits Ongoing professional development and career growth An organization dedicated to helping all children learn and thrive Ready to lead with purpose?
