Cyber Software Engineering, Senior Advisor
Responsibilities Implement, test, and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture. Perform ongoing security testing and code reviews to enhance software security. Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise. Provide engineering designs for new software solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities. Contribute to all levels of the architecture and maintain technical documentation. Consult team members on secure coding practices. Develop familiarity with new tools and best practices. Qualifications #25 Basic Qualifications: TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited institution, with four (4) years of additional SWE experience in similar projects as a substitute. Core Competencies and Skills: Experience in agile software development, including requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, testing, and source code management. Proficiency in high-level languages such as Java, C, C++, with knowledge of networking, multi-threading, and REST APIs. Experience with Spring, messaging frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ), streaming analytics (Flink, Spark), and container orchestration (Kubernetes). Familiarity with tools like Git, Maven, Jira, DevOps tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab), and monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Nagios). Experience with Apache Hadoop, Apache Accumulo, Apache NiFi. Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash). Experience with AWS Cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, security, and automation tools (Lambda, CloudFormation).
