Job Summary Geisinger seeks a BC/BE Medical Oncologist for our growing cancer program at Geisinger Medical Center Muncy, PA. The role offers early or experienced hematology‑oncology physicians a chance to grow within a well‑established, physician‑led organization. Providers work collaboratively with surgical oncology, palliative medicine, radiation oncology, pathology, diagnostic radiology, and behavioral medicine to deliver quality cancer care. The community strives to innovate and lead in cancer care, medical education, research, and administration.

Job Duties The setting includes the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, over 50 graduate medical education programs, and fellowship programs in hematology/oncology and palliative medicine. The system’s NCI‑NCORP designation underscores commitment to clinical trials. Providers mentor fellows and residents, contribute to education, and can engage in clinical or informatics research within Geisinger and beyond. Patients participate in the MyCode Community Health Initiative with >275,000 genomes sequenced for research and real‑time applications. Location in central PA offers convenient community living and proximity to NYC, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia.

Education Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)

Experience & Licensure Certified and licensed medical doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
