Senior Corporate Accountant job at Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert. Washington DC. Cordia Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant to support key accounting functions, including month-end reconciliations, ASC 842 and ASC 606 compliance, revenue recognition, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large company environment and be proficient in ERP systems. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform month-end reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial statements.
Support ASC 842 lease accounting and ASC 606 revenue recognition compliance.
Analyze revenue transactions to ensure proper recognition in accordance with GAAP.
Conduct variance analysis, investigating and explaining financial fluctuations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a large company setting.
Strong knowledge of ASC 842 and ASC 606 compliance and revenue recognition principles.
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
