Chief Advancement Officer – Excelsior Wellness
Build and lead the advancement function from the ground up, establishing systems, strategies, and donor relationships to support immediate capital priorities and long‑term growth for Excelsior Wellness.
Base Pay Range $150,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow the advancement team while establishing a scalable fundraising infrastructure.
Develop and implement strategies to expand major, principal, and planned giving.
Cultivate and steward top donor and institutional funder relationships.
Partner with the President/CEO and Board on capital campaign planning and execution.
Integrate philanthropy into organizational communications and engagement efforts.
Qualifications
Minimum seven years of progressively responsible experience in building and leading advancement programs, with proven success in major, planned, and institutional giving.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, manage, and mentor a high‑performing advancement team while fostering collaboration with Board members, executives, and diverse stakeholders.
Strong record of cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors and institutional funders; experience with capital campaigns and healthcare/community‑based philanthropy preferred.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with cultural competence and a demonstrated commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and access.
Proficiency in fundraising strategy, financial planning, and donor management systems; ability to travel and engage in evening/weekend development activities.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 per year.
