hospitalist
opportunity in one of the fastest growing communities on the West Coast of Florida. First Physicians Group, the employed medical group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care system, formed in 1994 continues to be one of the best and strongest providers of primary and specialty care in the region.
Located in the beach town of Venice, this position offers an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and growing group of five physician partners and five Advanced Practice Providers in a familial work environment for both providers and staff.
Position Highlights:
7 on/7 off or 14 on/14 off with night call responsibility Friday through Sunday only.
Provide hospital coverage at
one
community hospital.
Advanced Practice Providers scheduled as first call support 24/7.
Responsible for hospital-based care of Urology patients; no clinic responsibilities.
Consult service only; medicine hospitalists admit from ER.
Consult volumes average 7-10/day with 3-4 procedures/day.
Urology is the largest surgical service by case volume in the hospital.

opened in December 2021, located on a 65-acre campus and features a 365,000-square-foot, 5 story hospital with
212 private patient suites, a 61-bed (non-trauma) emergency care center, 8 surgical suites
to include a daVinci XI Robot.The adjoining 2 story, 60,000-square-foot Medical Office Building is where the practice is conveniently located.

offers a full slate of medical and surgical care – from cardiology, GI, orthopedics and intensive care to surgery and comprehensive labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum care. Seamlessly integrated with the resources and support of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMHCS),
