What We Are Looking For A Safety Manager will join our Transportation team as a dual-role consultant, providing expert guidance and hands‑on support to operations management and employees at all levels. The Safety Professional at Aldridge is expected to partner in delivering safety initiatives and programs that develop a culture of Incident and Injury Free (“Nobody Gets Hurt”) throughout all work performed by Aldridge.

What You’ll Do

Promote and steward our Incident & Injury Free culture and Core Values.

Coaching, counseling and advice to Operations Management ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Assist Talent Management in delivering safety training based on transportation operations scope.

Act as a safety motivator for management and employees, keeping safety active in culture.

Provide safety subject‑matter expertise, implementing relevant internal and external practices.

Review subcontractor safety programs ensuring they meet Project Safety Program requirements.

Conduct mini‑gap safety policy analyses and recommend continuous improvement changes.

Conduct site visits monitoring and assessing the Aldridge Safety Management System execution.

Assist preparation of monthly Craft Voice In Safety meetings, driving corrective action process improvements.

Participate in and review Root Cause Analysis per Aldridge Incident Investigation Policy, verifying corrective actions implementation.

Support Project Teams during Kick‑Off Meetings, developing a safe execution plan.

Assign and communicate safety expectations, ensuring clear understanding for all project employees.

Identify and schedule required training, selecting applicable toolbox talk topics.

Verify all safety documentation is captured, organized and filed at the jobsite.

Travel to multiple projects in the Region to support Operations.

Implement Safety Systems and Processes for new project start‑ups.

Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related discipline.

3‑5 years’ direct construction safety and occupational health experience.

Willing to travel.

Professional Certificate (CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST & CUSP).

Ability to identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication.

People‑oriented personality adept at “selling” safety programs to field personnel.

Knowledge of construction safety, current federal and OSHA requirements.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to detail, recognizing discrepancies and effectively communicating solutions.

Strong work ethic – willing to do what it takes to get the job done.

Ability to work independently as part of a team.

Working knowledge of computers and experience in Microsoft Office Suite 2010.

What We Offer The annual base pay for this role is between $90,000 – $135,000, dependent on location, experience, education and market conditions. The role may also be eligible for a bonus.
