Job Summary Satisfy the technical requirements (safety, quality, cost and time of execution), which allow for the successfully completion all projects under responsibility, getting involved in all phases, including detection of necessities, prioritization, design, implementation, installation, and commissioning.
Job Responsibilities
Prioritize safety in all projects. Understand, demonstrate and promote the Company safety culture through employee engagement and implementation of local and regional health and safety objectives. Work safely at all times.
Align projects within company’s strategy, CEMEX Mission, Vision and Values
Utilize defined Cemex Engineering Procedures and Standards in the execution of all projects.
Manage all resources (people, monetary, physical, time) to achieve all tasks
Guarantee project quality according to CEMEX standards
Participate in team integration; define profiles with the required competences
Guarantee necessary training for all personnel
Analyze and ensure health and safety of all personnel during all stages of a project
Promote collaboration within Projects’ and Operations’ personnel
Inform all stakeholders about projects status
Participate in improvement projects including budgeting, and scheduling
Participate on different greenfield or brownfield project feasibility studies.
Keep track of Expenditures for all Investments request
Proficient with studies, engineering, basis of design, technical specifications and scope of works for designated projects
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree Engineering required.
10+ years experience in engineering, studies, design, construction and projects Management
Aggregate plant operating and maintenance experience a plus
Working knowledge of AggFlow modeling
Proficient in excel
Familiar with AutoCAD & Navisworks
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven ability to self-direct and manage multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion in a deadline driven environment required
Proven ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment required
Proven ability as a team player and leader required
Working Conditions
Capability to work extended hours as needed
Ability to participate in required overnight travel as needed
Some exposure to dust, noise and extreme temperature
Proven ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment required
Proven ability as a team player and leader required
Travel up to 50% of the time
Physical Requirements
Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Job involves sitting, walking or standing.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
