Summary Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our Engineering team as the Assistant Director of Engineering at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. The hotel has 1,193 rooms and 200,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. Responsibilities

Oversee operation of the maintenance department and overall building working order.

Maintain exterior, parking lot, common areas, guest room equipment and conduct monthly safety inspections.

Lead emergency responses and special projects to ensure optimal maintenance.

Requisition supplies, manage construction projects, and coordinate with contractors and design professionals.

Plan, organize, and direct maintenance activities for structures, facilities, and systems.

Prepare and submit budget estimates, track progress and costs, and develop quality control programs.

Ensure compliance with building and safety codes, working with code officials and community design committees.

Coach and counsel employees to meet Hyatt service standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of engineering management experience in a mid‑to‑large size hotel (minimum 700 rooms).

4‑year college degree from an accredited university.

Strong professional references with a history of exceptional performance.

Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse cultural and socioeconomic groups.

Service‑oriented style with professional presentation skills.

Desire to satisfy others’ needs in a fast‑paced environment.

Refined verbal communication skills.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Proficient in basic computer skills and hotel systems such as Opera, Hotsos, Rex, etc.
