Greenlite Inc
About the role
As a Software Engineer with AI/ML expertise at Greenlite, you'll build cutting-edge AI agent systems that help banks and fintechs fight financial crime at massive scale. You'll work directly with our biggest customers—institutions serving over a billion people—creating robust AI solutions that detect and prevent financial crime while meeting the demanding accuracy standards of regulated industries. Your AI/ML work is informed by real customer needs and ships to everyone, so you need to build reliable systems, work effectively with product and compliance teams, understand enterprise AI requirements, and adapt quickly. This is a core AI/ML role on our Engineering team.
You're an exceptional software engineer who understands that financial institutions need cutting-edge AI that operates with the reliability and accuracy of traditional enterprise software. You'll work at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI, turning the latest advancements in language models and agent frameworks into production-grade solutions that help financial institutions automate AML, sanctions screening, and fraud detection. You're not just implementing models—you're engineering AI systems based on what our most sophisticated customers actually need for compliance workflows. Please Note: We work in-person Monday through Friday in our SF office.
What you'll do
Month 1:
Master our AI agent platform and understand complex compliance AI requirements
Shadow experienced engineers on customer AI deployments and model performance optimization
Build your first agentic workflows and RAG systems for compliance use cases
Month 2:
Own end-to-end AI system development for major bank and fintech deployments
Build and deploy robust evaluation and monitoring frameworks that ensure AI accuracy in regulated environments
Partner with product and compliance teams to turn customer insights into improved AI capabilities
Become the go-to expert for AI/ML systems in financial compliance
Ongoing:
Design and implement production AI agent systems that operate in highly regulated environments
Translate cutting-edge research into scalable, reliable software that operates seamlessly in customer environments
Create robust monitoring systems that rigorously measure and improve AI performance for financial industry standards
Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Engineering teams as the AI/ML expert
What we're looking for
4+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years focused on AI/ML applications
Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar)
Hands-on experience with modern language models (LLMs) and their applications in production
Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector search systems
Experience with agentic workflows and AI agent frameworks
Familiarity with AI evaluation techniques and performance optimization for enterprise environments
Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design skills
Ability to work independently and tackle ambiguous problems in fast-paced environments
Bonus points:
Experience with traditional ML model development, training, and evaluation
Knowledge of NLP techniques and information retrieval systems
Familiarity with financial services or regulated industries
Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis
Background in distributed systems and scalable software architecture
About you
You're a software engineer who thrives at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and customer impact. You understand that effective AI/ML engineering means building systems that solve real business problems while maintaining the reliability and accuracy that regulated industries demand. You're comfortable balancing technical innovation with the need to ship production-grade solutions, and you want your AI contributions to have direct, measurable impact on how financial institutions fight money laundering, terrorism financing, and fraud. Compensation & Benefits
$150k - $220k + equity
Comprehensive healthcare, 401k matching, commuter benefits
15 days PTO + holidays, unlimited sick days
