In this role, you will design new manufacturing processes, create innovative assembly solutions, and develop novel production techniques for complex robotic systems. You’ll work hands‑on with our design teams to transform ambitious concepts into manufacturable products, tackling challenging production problems with creative engineering approaches. Key job responsibilities
Collaborate with hardware engineering and production teams to transition robotic designs from prototype development into volume production
Provide design for manufacturing feedback to simplify designs for highest production efficiency and scalability
Develop adaptable assembly processes to support product design iteration and variable quality of incoming material
Create flexible manufacturing concepts for high-volume production while minimizing complexity and cost
Generate process documentation, manufacturing instructions, and equipment specifications
Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, controls and software issues in production environments
Optimize manufacturing processes to maximize the number of supported product variants
Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth product launches and production ramp‑up

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in prototyping
Experience collaborating and influencing multiple teams across multiple organizations
Experience working in an Agile environment
Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD experience and understanding of best practices for part design, and advanced assemblies
Experience writing technical documents, project plans and progress reports to leadership and to stakeholders
Experience leading the mechanical detailed design of electro‑mechanical systems
Thorough understanding and use of principals, theories and concepts in mechanical engineering and ability to apply them to product design
Experience with full lifecycle development
Experience evaluating design, performance and logistical tradeoffs for hardware systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent, or Master’s degree
Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
Experience embedding design within product teams for agile design and development collaboration
Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
Proficiency in mechanical assembly methods, electrical integration, testing and troubleshooting
