Overnight Veterinary Technician BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. Pay: $20.00 - $40.50 per hour. Shift differentials apply for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4‑hour minimum. Mon – Fri: 6 pm to 8 am = $3.00 Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 6 pm to 8 am = $4.50 Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 8 am to 6 pm = $3.00 Shift Differential Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience. This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our leveling system. Do you want to work in a fast paced, learning environment? BluePearl Pet Hospital, the role of Veterinary Technician is an exciting, fast‑paced opportunity that will allow you to utilize the skills you have worked so hard to gain. As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, You Will : Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment. Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure. Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients. Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs. Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR. Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration. Be proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters. Have a passion for mentoring and training other co‑workers. Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
