ICE | IGSL Outpatient Clinic TOSH/UROLOGY

Summary of Job Duties This position produces radiographic images for medical interpretation, interacts with all healthcare staff, many clerical staff members, all patient care departments, and with patients' families and visitors. This position is held accountable for performing the correct radiologic exams and producing high-quality images while supervising others. This position will work at the Orthopedic and Spine Hospital Pain Clinic.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved Radiology Technology program

Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology

Additional Information Responsibilities:

Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites, including necessary supplies and equipment, and administering contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.

Assists the physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventional procedures, such as flushing catheters.

Maintains knowledge of all products and their use; and performs related imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy (FL).

Analyzes results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including quality assurance (QA), sending images, and pixel shifting.

Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation, and helps monitor patient condition, reporting and responding to changes as appropriate.

Ensures that supplies and equipment are stocked and in proper working order.

Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment by troubleshooting, resolving, and reporting equipment malfunctions as necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned.
