Job Description An Audiologist will work in our outpatient Audiology department, working closely with ENT Otology Providers and Otology PAs, and selling hearing aids. Schedule: Monday-Friday, four 10-hour days; the day off is flexible but most likely not on Fridays or Mondays. The role reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The Audiologist provides diagnostic and habilitation/rehabilitation services for patients with hearing, balance, or other ear-related health conditions. This includes diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aid selection, fitting and follow-up services, cochlear implant evaluation, programming, rehabilitation, auditory brainstem response evaluations, and neonatal auditory brainstem response screenings. The position routinely acts as preceptor for graduate student clinicians.

Responsibilities

Obtains case history and formulates appropriate individualized evaluation plan.

Performs comprehensive adult audiologic evaluations and counsels on results and recommendations.

Assess individual amplification options, select appropriate amplification options, verify appropriateness of fitting, utilize real-ear measurement techniques.

Provide patient education (care, and use of amplification devices), discuss purchase agreement terms, address post-fitting issues, and make programming adjustments as needed.

Perform, analyze, and report on electrophysiologic procedures.

Provide clinical instruction and evaluation of doctoral students.

Identify and evaluate cochlear implant candidates, provide post-surgical activation, programming, rehabilitation, follow-up services, and perform appropriate documentation of all services provided.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

Audiologist, Licensed (IL).

Master's degree or higher from accredited program in Audiology.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Audiologist.

Experience selling hearing aids.
