The
Assistant Team Leader of Facilities Management
supports the Director and Team Leader of Facilities Management in overseeing the upkeep, maintenance, and improvement of Goodwill’s physical assets—including buildings, grounds, and equipment. The position ensures facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and brand standards while fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
Oversee daily facilities operations to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality across all locations.
Manage maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Support renovation and construction projects, coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective completion.
Maintain asset databases, equipment inventories, and maintenance records to ensure accountability and operational efficiency.
Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, purchasing supplies and services in alignment with Goodwill’s standards.
Conduct safety, housekeeping, and vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with OSHA, ADA, NFPA Life Safety Codes, and local regulations.
Provide guidance and leadership to maintenance and custodial staff, promoting teamwork, safety, and professional growth.
Support emergency response and on-call operations to minimize downtime and maintain service continuity.
Partner with other departments to ensure facilities meet organizational and mission goals.

Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field.
1-3 years of supervisory experience across multiple sites or operations.
Working knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and carpentry.
Strong computer proficiency, including CMMS, Microsoft Office, and database management.
Familiarity with purchasing systems, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high‑quality results under minimal supervision.
What we’re looking for
Valid Florida driver’s license and safe driving record. Must be able to drive Agency vehicle as a condition of employment.
Must be able to work flexible hours, based on the requirements of the job or specific projects; to include weekends and nights as may be required or to be on‑call during off hours.
Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening (safety‑sensitive role).
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Construction, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
