Data Scientists provide quantitative support, market understanding and a strategic perspective to our partners throughout the organization. As a data‑loving member of the team, you serve as an analytics expert for your partners, using numbers to help them make better decisions. You weave stories with meaningful insight from data, make critical recommendations for Engineering and Product Management, and communicate findings to team leaders. The Payments team builds and operates Google’s business infrastructure that enables all Google products to generate business. The Pay Experiences (PayExp) team redefines payments and digital identity, creating a seamless commerce experience for users, partners, and the wider ecosystem. As a senior analyst on Payments Experiences, you shape Payments products and solutions, drive analytics for user journeys and build end‑to‑end user funnels across multiple payments systems. Salary range: $156,000–$229,000 base + bonus + equity + benefits. Responsibilities
Perform analysis utilizing tools (SQL, R, Python) to solve open‑ended ambiguous business problems. Build new processes, procedures, methods, tests, and components to anticipate future issues. Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support business reviews with cross‑functional leadership. Translate analysis results into business insights or product improvement opportunities. Build and prototype analysis and business cases iteratively to provide insights at scale. Influence across teams to align resources and direction. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field. 8 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, or 5 years with a Master’s degree.
