Compensation:

$65,000 - $90,000 / year

In this position, you’ll lead impactful projects from concept through construction, including stormwater system design, stream stabilization and restoration, rural drainage, conservation practices (like oxbows and saturated buffers), wetland restoration and creation, water quality enhancements, and floodplain management.

Essential Duties

Serve as the primary liaison between ISG and clients, ensuring clear, consistent, and positive communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Build and strengthen client relationships by actively listening and understanding their goals, priorities, and expectations.

Translate client objectives into actionable plans and deadlines for the project team, promoting contextual design thinking and exploring alternative solutions.

Lead regulatory coordination and oversee planning, design, and technical execution to ensure deliverables exceed client expectations.

Act as a technical resource within the organization, providing expertise and guidance on water resources projects.

Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned to contribute to team and organizational success.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in water resources engineering or related fields.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, or a closely related discipline.

Proven expertise in stormwater planning, design, and modeling, supported by strong academic or project-based experience.

Demonstrated success in managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Experience in developing proposals, defining scopes of work, and preparing accurate fee estimates.

Proficiency or working knowledge of industry-standard software tools, including: HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XP-SWMM, Innovyze ICM, GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D (preferred, but not required).
