Job Summary HealthRIGHT 360 operates across 13 counties in California, providing medical and behavioral health services to marginalized populations. Men’s Residential and Detox or 890 Residential Services is a program that serves male‑identifying clients with up to 90‑day residential treatment. The Client Safety Navigator ensures a safe environment for clients, staff, and visitors, using de‑escalation strategies to address crises and behavioral issues.
Key Responsibilities Client Services
Stationed at front desk or residential floors to control access and monitor safety.
Welcomes and assists clients returning from appointments, ensuring sign‑in and contraband checks.
Welcomes visitors, verifies credentials, and escorts them to the supervisor on duty.
Conducts “house runs” to verify rooms are in order and that client chores are completed, reporting findings to the team in writing.
Documents client updates and facility needs in the facility log daily; may work weekends and holidays.
Safety Responsibilities
Maintains a safe and orderly environment for clients, staff, and visitors.
Directs and deflects traffic, de‑escalates tense, high‑pressure, emotionally charged situations, fostering a respectful environment.
Maintains respectful, non‑confrontational behavior even when observing or de‑escalating disorderly conduct.
Performs CPR, First Aid, and administers Narcan as needed.
Documents incident reports.
Makes regular facility rounds to monitor entrances, exits, offices, client rooms, common areas, and the building perimeter.
Conducts frequent safety checks throughout shifts to ensure client safety.
Monitors meal periods in the dining hall.
Clears areas of crowds, debris, and out‑of‑place items.
Works collaboratively with service providers and administrative staff to maintain order.
Administrative And Documentation Responsibilities
Maintain client sign‑in/out logs and visitor sign‑in/out logs.
File incident reports as needed.
Communicate client updates and facility needs to the team each shift.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education, Certification, and Experience
High School Diploma.
Experience counseling or teaching adults and/or facilitating workshops.
Desired
Familiarity with supportive counseling strategies and wellness and recovery principles in working with clients having mental health, substance abuse, or co‑occurring conditions.
At least 2-4 years of lived experience with the community behavioral health system and/or the criminal justice system.
Must complete background check and livescan clearance; applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered.
