The Role The AI Finance Manager is a crucial role responsible for supporting the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing the overall data management strategy for finance applications. Leveraging deep expertise in finance applications (planning, reporting, close/consolidation) and enterprise data management, the Manager will develop and implement EY’s AI Finance service offering, creating an industry‑agnostic data model to ensure data consistency and interoperability across finance applications.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead delivery of complex technical initiatives, ensuring accountability for performance and results.
Collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver system architecture solutions.
Drive continuous process improvement by identifying innovative solutions through research and analysis.
Partner with finance, IT, and data science teams to support effective management and utilization of finance application data, harnessing Machine Learning, Gen AI, and Azure data technologies.
Lead workstream delivery, managing risk, and maintaining focus on quality and client satisfaction.
Engage with clients daily, participate in planning and execution, and identify opportunities for additional services.
Support data management strategy execution, including data governance, data quality, and master data management initiatives.
Define data requirements, architecture, and models for finance applications, considering ML and Gen AI potentials.
Develop and maintain documentation such as data dictionaries, entity‑relationship diagrams, and data lineage maps.
Collaborate with data scientists and finance stakeholders to apply ML and Gen AI to finance applications and expand the data model.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Build relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels, consistently delivering high‑quality services.
Monitor progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed.
Manage expectations of client service delivery and motivate diverse engagement teams.
Provide constructive feedback and coach team members.

Play an active role in counseling and mentoring junior consultants.
Support the establishment of a robust data governance framework.
Stay current with advancements in ML, Gen AI, Data Management, and Azure technologies.
Drive efficiency, accuracy, and insights for finance applications.
Required Qualifications
bachelor’s degree and ~5 years related work experience; or graduate degree and ~4 years experience.
Minimum of 4 years in data management, with at least 1 year focused on finance application data, data modeling, and financial modeling.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management.
Experience with ML techniques, Gen AI technologies, and Azure data services (Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, MS SQL, Python).
Knowledge of finance applications and financial modeling (PnL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Proficiency in data integration, transformation, and modeling tools.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Ideally You’ll Also Have
Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with experience in finance data management, data modeling, and ML.
