The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining EMPIST’s client infrastructure environments across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud platforms. This role combines technical delivery, operational excellence, and client‑facing communication to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT systems. Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, storage, virtualization, and network systems (primarily Microsoft, VMware, and Azure environments). Collaborate with the project team to execute on project deliverables within prescribed timelines. Cloud & Hybrid Operations: Support migrations and integrations between on‑prem and cloud systems, ensuring performance, security, and cost optimization. Monitoring & Maintenance: Implement proactive monitoring, patching, and performance tuning across client environments. Backup Oversight:

Monitor daily backup jobs and replication status across local and cloud environments. Validate backup integrity and ensure compliance with defined RTO/RPO objectives. Coordinate with appropriate team members for alert triage and remediation of failed backups. Support emergency recovery efforts during critical incidents. Maintain documentation for backup configurations and retention policies.

Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Lead root‑cause analysis and resolution for complex infrastructure issues, coordinating with vendors and internal teams. Documentation & Standards: Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration baselines, and change management records. Client Engagement: Deliver exceptional customer support, either remotely or onsite, as required. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless delivery and operational continuity. Qualifications

5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or systems administration. Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, and Windows Server environments. Experience with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls). Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, CompTIA Network+/Security+). Excellent communication and documentation skills. Prior MSP experience is a plus. Salary

$80,000–$100,000 annually Career Path

This role serves as a bridge between Infrastructure Engineer and Infrastructure Architect. Successful candidates demonstrating leadership and solution design capabilities may advance to Lead Engineer or Infrastructure Architect roles within 12–24 months. Benefits
