About The Role As CBRE’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Global Director, you’ll lead the department responsible for developing and implementing vital health, safety, and environmental programs for our clients. Your role is more than oversight; it’s a commitment to safeguarding both people and the environment. This position is a key part of the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) function, which focuses on creating and maintaining organizational programs and procedures that protect our global technology clients’ employees, assets, and the surrounding communities.

What You’ll Do

Develop, implement and lead HSE programs and initiatives specific to our client’s global infrastructure, to meet regulatory requirements and HSE safety and environmental needs of our client account. Evaluate new and existing programs to assess suitability and the need for changes.

Direct and coordinate activities of personnel staff engaged in HSE.

Coordinate HSE plans, playbooks and procedures for an account, market area, or geographical region of responsibility, ensuring plans and playbooks are current, complete and successfully implemented.

Monitor health and safety and environmental regulatory compliance within the account, market area, or geographical/contractual area of responsibility. Develop and implement strategic solutions that support management’s efforts to improve and maintain compliance.

Review and lead all aspects of all work processes and conditions to ensure HSE protective measures are optimized. Develop and recommend preventative and improvement measures to enhance EH&S programs.

Manage and coordinate the interactions with government agencies, professional Health, Safety and Environmental groups, community advisory panels, corporate HSE officers, and all internal safety activities.

Provide direct and timely counsel and information to management for the account in matters pertaining to HSE, compliance, trends, performance and concerns.

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a minimum of 10 years of related experience (in the absence of any of the above degrees / certification).

Direct work experience interacting with regulatory agencies and/or compliance officers is required.

Working knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations is required.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Global HSE Director position is $212,000 annually and the maximum salary is $248,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
