Physician – OBGyn – Section Chief Complex Family Planning Specialist (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Position Overview: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a Complex Family Planning Section Chief to lead the Complex Family Planning (CFP) program and expand the Department’s clinical and research expertise. The incumbent will supervise a resident family planning rotation that includes an early pregnancy management clinic, a dedicated contraception clinic, and operative experience at an ambulatory surgical facility. Additional responsibilities include participation in a well‑established faculty practice, teaching on the gynecology service, and contributing to medical student education. The role offers research collaboration opportunities with the College of Public Health and the Department’s reproductive epidemiologist.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Complex Family Planning program.

Supervise resident rotations and provide mentorship.

Maintain active clinical practice in early pregnancy management and contraception.

Engage in teaching and educational activities for medical students.

Collaborate on research with related departments and the College of Public Health.

Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree.

Accredited residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Licensure to practice medicine in the State of Ohio.

Current registration with the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration).

Fellowship training in Complex Family Planning or equivalent experience is preferred.
