Responsibilities
As a
Junior Systems Engineer , you’ll support the design, integration, and evaluation of complex systems that power the
National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) ,
Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG) , and partner
Federal Agencies . Working alongside experienced engineers and government stakeholders, you’ll help ensure the timely delivery of accurate and reliable GEOINT capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Support mid-level engineers and government teams in
requirements engineering ,
solutions design ,
integration ,
testing , and
system analysis .
Assist in the
planning, traceability, and analysis
of user and system requirements, ensuring alignment with mission needs and technical architectures.
Contribute to the development of
solutions and designs
based on emerging technologies and system requirements.
Help translate
mission and customer needs
into system and capability requirements.
Support the
allocation of requirements
to system architecture components and programs.
Participate in
systems integration
and evaluation activities across NSG and ASG environments.
Assist with
Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) ,
Trade Studies ,
Course of Action (CoA)
development, and
Engineering Assessments .
Contribute to
strategic technical planning ,
project management ,
performance engineering ,
risk management , and
interface design
activities.

Required Education & Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in
Systems Engineering
or a related technical/scientific field such as:
Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems.
Equivalent experience may substitute for education:
+4 years
with no degree, or
+2 years
with a non‑STEM degree.
Experience:
0–6 years of experience in
Systems Engineering
within government or industry.
Security Clearance
Active TS/SCI clearance , or
Eligibility to obtain SCI
and successfully pass a
polygraph .
Preferred Qualifications Technical Knowledge
Familiarity with
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
concepts and languages.
Understanding of
Software Development Frameworks
and life cycle processes.
Knowledge of
Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT)
principles and applications.
Industry & Agency Experience
Prior experience supporting
NGA ,
NSG , or
ASG
programs/projects.
Experience on programs within the
Intelligence Community (IC)
or
Department of Defense (DoD) .

Target Salary Range $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
