Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a X‑Ray Technologist – Woodhull.
Under supervision, operates radiology imaging equipment to produce images for use by professional personnel.
Job Responsibilities
Adjust switches regulating length and intensity of exposure.
Prepare reports and maintain records of service rendered.
Makes minor adjustments to equipment.
May assist in therapy requiring application of radium or radioactive isotopes.
Position patient under an x‑ray machine, adjust immobilization devices, and affix lead plates to protect unaffected areas.
Assist in treating diseased or affected areas of the body, under supervision of a physician, by exposing the area to specified concentrations of x‑rays for prescribed periods of time.
May specialize in taking x‑rays of specific body areas.
Apply roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
Administer drugs or chemical mixtures orally or as enemas to render organs opaque.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
NYS license.
ARRT (R) registered.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
0–2 years of experience in general radiology.
Knowledgeable in the use of PACS system.

Salary and Compensation NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state law on salary transparency in job advertisements. The salary range for this role is $93,712.71 – $93,712.71 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
