Description Apply We are looking for an organized candidate to join our Team as a Fleet Manager with strong objective abilities! Our Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization’s fleet of cars, trucks, and specialized vehicles.
Responsibilities
Develops schedules and procedures and ensures adherence to routine maintenance and non-routine repair of all vehicles in the company’s fleet.
Collaborates with managers and staff to control and reduce expenses such as those for fuel and labor costs.
Establishes a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles.
Maintains detailed record of vehicle inspection, servicing, warranties, registration, and driver assignments.
Provides information for drafting reports on department operations and expenses.
Makes recommendations for deciding whether to lease or buy vehicles.
Utilizes GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles.
Comply with U.S Department of Transport laws and regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma.
Degree in Supply Chain Management desirable.
DOT experience a plus.
Three years of related fleet maintenance or repair work experience preferred.
Valid Driver’s License.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn fleet management operations and software.
Ability to build schedules.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting performing desk work.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds unassisted at times.
Ability to travel as needed.
