Lead Oracle Cloud Financials IT Solution Architect, Corporate Systems (Finance) Pay Range: $100/hour to $130/hour
Join an organization undergoing a major modernization effort to transform its IT platforms, processes, and capabilities. We are seeking a Lead Oracle Cloud Financials IT Solution Architect with deep functional and technical expertise to design, implement, and optimize an enterprise-wide Oracle Cloud Fusion ecosystem. This role sits within the Corporate Systems Applications team supporting Finance, Legal, and Human Resources and plays a key role in the migration from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud Fusion.
About the Role The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert in configuring Oracle Fusion FinancialsGL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and SLAwith a strong understanding of how these configurations interconnect across business workstreams such as Record to Report, Order to Cash, Requisition to Pay, Plan to Perform, Projects to Result, and Acquire to Retire. You will help drive a major transformation, applying best practices to establish scalable, compliant, and optimized financial systems.
Responsibilities
Lead and own the solution architecture and configuration of Oracle Cloud Financials modules to meet complex business and accounting requirements.
Support the financial systems architecture during the migration from Oracle EBS to Oracle Cloud Fusion.
Configure core Oracle Fusion Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, SLA), including COA structures, ledgers, tax, intercompany, allocations, and accounting rules.
Design and implement integration and data-flow architectures between Oracle Cloud Fusion and other enterprise platforms.
Provide functional and technical leadership to implementation and support teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct configuration workshops to gather requirements, design solutions, and validate functionality with business and IT stakeholders.
Maintain configuration documentation, including setup workbooks, test scripts, and change logs.
Perform architecture and configuration reviews to ensure scalability, audit compliance, and SOX adherence.
Monitor and adopt relevant quarterly Oracle Cloud updates and new features.
Lead troubleshooting efforts related to functional setups, configurations, and integrations.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to define, test, and deploy global and localized configurations.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 7+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials, including at least 5 years of hands-on configuration across global business units.
Strong expertise configuring GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and SLA, including COA design, ledger setup, subledger accounting, and multi-currency environments.
Deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Financials across Record to Report, Order to Cash, Requisition to Pay, Projects to Result, and Acquire to Retire processes.
Experience with Accounting Hub (AHCS) and with designing accounting rules and mappings.
Participation in at least two full lifecycle Oracle Cloud ERP Financials implementations.
Strong experience with Oracle technologies such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Web Services, OCI, and DBCS.
Familiarity with Oracle globalizations, localizations, and tax configurations for multi-national organizations.
Ability to collaborate with consulting partners and transition knowledge to internal teams.
Experience working with audit and compliance teams on SOX-controlled configurations.
Strong documentation skills, including creating FDDs, configuration workbooks, and process flows.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
Oracle Cloud certifications (e.g., Financials Implementation Specialist) preferred.
