Senior Estimator – Data Center Construction
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced
Senior Construction Estimator
to support large‑scale data center construction projects and programs. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with a strong track record of providing accurate estimating services.
Responsibilities
Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design across multiple geographic regions, collaborating with internal and external staff.
Deliver and present updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
Provide program‑level estimates for specific scopes of work.
Coordinate, manage, and supervise the work of support staff.
Review proposed design changes/new technologies and prepare estimates within appropriate accuracy levels.
Collect, analyze, and summarize cost information from completed projects to drive cost model trends.
Assess cost effectiveness of alternate products and value‑engineering ideas at a program level.
Support training of Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools/templates.
Prepare leadership presentations for the client’s preconstruction and estimating team.
Create life‑cycle costing models.
Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in a construction cost management role (e.g., Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer).
Experience providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre‑construction services at a construction management or related firm.
Experience supporting large‑scale construction projects and programs.
Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including value management and value engineering.
Excellent communication skills.
Additional Information The salary range for this full‑time role is $105 K–$175 K per year. This range represents base salary only, not total compensation. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range based on experience and qualifications.
