Requirements In this role, you will report to the Head of the North American Legal Office and work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders—including Sales, Procurement, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Security—to support Kaltura’s operations across the globe. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, managing a varied and complex workload, and building strong relationships both inside and outside the company.

Minimum Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Admission in good standing to at least one U.S. state bar.

At least 3 years of post‑JD legal experience, preferably with significant time spent on commercial transactions or technology matters.

Preferred Qualifications (Pluses)

Prior experience as in‑house counsel, especially in a technology or SaaS environment.

Experience working with educational institutions or education‑sector customers.

Familiarity with legal technology, including CLM systems or contract automation tools.

Experience advising on AI‑related legal issues (e.g., model training, data governance, licensing, responsible AI).

Experience supporting government or public‑sector clients.

Responsibilities

Structure, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including cloud services agreements, software licensing, partnership and channel agreements, technology development agreements, vendor and subcontractor agreements, and sales and procurement contracts.

Lead negotiations with customers, partners, and vendors to support Kaltura’s business objectives.

Provide practical legal advice on operational matters spanning sales, data privacy, IT security, product development, marketing, HR, finance, and R&D.

Support corporate governance and general corporate matters, including assisting the Company Secretary’s office with compliance initiatives and working with external counsel as needed.

Collaborate with other legal team members and cross‑functional partners to design, improve, and implement scalable legal and business processes that enable Kaltura’s growth.

Assist with risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and policy development related to SaaS offerings and AI‑driven products.
