Position Overview
PKF‑Mark III, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Civil Night Shift Superintendent with 5+ years of experience leading onsite construction crews. The ideal candidate will supervise multiple field crews and subcontractors, maintain project schedules and budgets, and demonstrate strong leadership, planning, problem‑solving, and safety skills. The role requires willingness to work night shifts as scheduled and experience managing traffic control operations in addition to closed‑lane work. Responsibilities
Supervise and direct night‑shift operations on assigned projects. Manage traffic control operations; possess or have previously held a TCC card. Motivate, assign, and direct all field crews on work tasks. Ensure all tasks are completed with the highest level of safety. Provide field supervisors with the information, tools, equipment, and materials needed to complete their tasks safely, correctly, and productively. Monitor and track subcontractor progress, managing budget and schedule expectations. Understand project specifications as it relates to work items. Understand productivity and cost tracking for assigned work tasks. Utilize QA/QC processes to ensure work quality is of the highest level. Manage all construction the project site. Recognize and respond proactively to differing site conditions, anticipated changes, and unforeseen challenges. Maintain a high degree of understanding with respect to submission of paperwork, submittals, material tracking, and document control. Produce and deliver weekly safety reports. Manage manpower needs for the project. Position Requirements
5+ years of experience working in the heavy civil industry with a history of demonstrated responsibility as a superintendent. Ability to meet fast‑paced, changing schedules and priorities. Keen awareness of industry recommended practices, OSHA requirements, equipment, and QA/QC. Microsoft Office proficiency. Valid driver’s license. Ability to work on a team and lead all field operations at a high level. Local projects within 100 miles of Newtown, PA. Additional Skills & Certifications
