We’re looking for a Director of Earned & Owned Strategy to lead a major U.S. travel brand account. This role will oversee a cross‑functional team spanning SEO, Content Marketing, and Strategy initiatives—focused on redefining organic discoverability, customer engagement, and AI Search leadership. The role will act as the strategy lead within an embedded, cross‑functional Earned & Owned team, working full‑time onsite at the client’s office in Dallas, TX.

You’ll be an individual contributor and report to the Senior Director, Earned & Owned Strategy. You will connect technical excellence with creative storytelling to drive measurable business outcomes. This is an opportunity to shape how one of America’s most loved brands evolves its digital ecosystem while laying the foundation for a scalable Center of Excellence (CoE) for Earned & Owned Media.

Responsibilities

Act as the executive strategic lead for the full Earned & Owned program, accountable for delivering measurable growth and alignment with the client’s enterprise goals

Translate the multi‑year roadmap into actionable priorities across content, SEO, and cross‑channel collaboration

Guide the creation and optimization of large‑scale content ecosystems that balance brand storytelling, conversion performance, and AI search discoverability

Oversee strategic frameworks for AI Search readiness, ensuring content and technical foundations are optimized for SGE, voice, and emerging search experiences

Partner with Analytics leadership to evolve AI visibility measurement, model share of voice, and establish predictive ROI frameworks

Integrate AI‑driven insights into forecasting, prioritization, and creative planning across Earned channels

Build and operationalize the Earned & Owned CoE in partnership with Wpromote and client stakeholders

Define processes, governance, and playbooks that enable seamless collaboration between SEO and Content teams

Champion holistic integration across Paid Media programs, ensuring consistent consumer journeys

Manage fully‑integrated digital campaigns utilizing cross‑channel insights

Partner with client and internal Product, Data, and Engineering teams to enhance technical infrastructure and reporting automation

Lead cross‑functional planning across key content activations

Provide executive‑level oversight of campaign ideation, launch, and measurement to maintain excellence in execution

Identify and capture new organic growth opportunities

Launch robust content hubs in partnership with Content, Digital Experience and Brand teams

Develop an organic App Store Optimization strategy and ongoing testing matrix

Consult on financial modeling, investment pacing, and multi‑year forecasting in collaboration with client finance partners

Support business development through executive‑level presentations, thought leadership, and strategic advisory for expansion opportunities

Qualifications

7–10 years of experience leading Earned & Owned Media programs across SEO, Content, or adjacent digital channels

3+ years agency experience in a client‑facing role

Category experience within travel, loyalty, or large‑scale consumer service industries is required

Experience with Web Analytics and SEMRush or similar SEO platforms

Proven success managing large‑scale, enterprise search and content transformation initiatives

Deep understanding of AI Search evolution and advanced organic analytics

Experience developing or leading a Center of Excellence (CoE) or global governance model

Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills—able to unify teams across marketing, product, and data disciplines

Exceptional presentation and executive communication skills

Advanced proficiency in forecasting, modeling, and performance storytelling

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $118,000 - $130,000, depending on factors such as skill set, experience, education, etc. The total compensation package includes benefits above and an annual performance bonus. This role has an associated annual target bonus component which is paid out based on company, department, and individual performance.

This position requires you to be on-site up to 4× a week at the client’s Dallas office. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
